Reaction Design Appoints Bernie Rosenthal Chief Executive Officer

San Diego, Calif. - February 28, 2005 - Reaction Design, a leading provider of sophisticated modeling and simulation tools for complex chemical reactions, today announced that Bernie Rosenthal has been appointed Chief Executive Officer. Rosenthal replaces Founder and former CEO, David H. Klipstein, who will take the newly created position of Executive Vice President of Business Development with the Company.

According to Murray Hutchison, Reaction Design’s Chairman, "Under Dave Klipstein’s guidance, Reaction Design has created and delivered technology that has been widely accepted and proven in the marketplace. Bernie Rosenthal brings a wealth of business and operational experience to RD, and we believe that he can guide the Company as it enters new markets and expands its product base."

Before this appointment, Rosenthal spent the past 7 years with Tensilica, Incorporated, a software company he co-founded, where he was Senior Vice President in charge of the company’s worldwide business operations. Prior to Tensilica, Rosenthal held various executive and management positions at Synopsys, AMCC and TRW.

Mr. Rosenthal graduated from the University of Southern California, receiving a Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering, a Masters of Science Degree in Industrial Systems Engineering and an MBA. He has been awarded a patent for work done defining a post-fabrication configurable processor architecture.
