How to Access CHEMKIN Downloads
Starting with CHEMKIN 17.0 Release 15151, an ANSYS license is required and downloads are accessed from the ANSYS website's Customer Portal.
For the previous release (15142), a Reaction Design license is required and the installer is provided from this website, and registration on this website is required.
Access to the previous product installer download areas requires associating a current Reaction Design license file with your web site profile. Here are the steps required:
- Register as a visitor on our website. (We will receive notification when you have registered.)
- Add your Reaction Design license information to your website profile to enable access to our legacy released products.
- Download any Reaction Design installers for which you are licensed.
The Prior Release section below provides more detail about how to accomplish these steps.
Accessing the current ANSYS Chemkin 17.0 Release 15151 requires an ANSYS Chemkin license, registration at the ANSYS Customer Portal website, and downloading the installers from that site. To summarize the steps:
- Register at the ANSYS Customer Portal web site.
- Download the ANSYS License Manager and Chemkin installers.
- Install first the License Manager, then the Chemkin packages.
The Current Release section below provides more detail about how to accomplish these steps.

The current release is available from the ANSYS Customer Portal. Follow these steps:
Obtain an ANSYS Chemkin license from your ANSYS sales or support contact. A Reaction Design license will not enable this release of Chemkin.
Step 1: Register for ANSYS Customer Portal Access
Go to https://support.ansys.com/portal/site/AnsysCustomerPortal/template.REGISTER/ and complete the registration.
Step 2: Obtain ANSYS Chemkin Installers
Once registered, go to the Customer Portal at http://support.ansys.com, log in, and obtain the installers for (1) ANSYS License Manager and for (2) ANSYS Chemkin.
Step 3: Install the Software
Install the two packages in that order: First the License Manager, then ANSYS Chemkin.

Once on the Support.ansys.com page, navigate to Customer Portal > Downloads > Current Release
Chemkin is under Add-On Packages (Chemkin includes Energico and Reaction Workbench)

Step 1: Register on our website
Visit our web site and register as a web site user: http://www.reactiondesign.com/register/
When you have completed the registration form and submit it, an email will be sent to you containing a link to click on and confirm your registration. Until you have received that email and responded to it, your registration is incomplete and you cannot Sign-In to our web site. This email is sent immediately from email@example.com as user “Reaction Design Website” and you should receive it quickly so check your spam filter, junk email folder, etc. if you have not received it in a few minutes. Step 2: Add Your License To Your Sign-In Profile
Once registered, sign-in to our web site.
Once you are signed-in, that button is replaced with a Manage Profile link.
Click on Manage Profile, and update your profile to add a License Code using the data in the license file that you have received or have access to.
Once you have added your license, it will be shown in the section below (on the same Manage Profile web page). Once you have a valid (not expired) license associated with your web site sign-in profile, then you will be able to access the customer-only sections of our web site, including the product installer download areas.
Step 3: Download the CHEMKIN Installer
At our website, be sure to Sign-In so you can access the restricted pages. Then, select Product Release Downloads entry from the Support drop-down menu. That page will show you several product lines. The below URL is where you will find the CHEMKIN installer:
